Israeli occupation forces on Friday wounded 217 Palestinians protesting in opposition to unlawful Israeli settlements within the West Financial institution, the Palestine Crimson Crescent Society (PRCS) disclosed in an announcement.
The PRCS revealed that 217 protesters had been injured, together with 35 shot by rubber-coated steel bullets and 182 subjected to suffocation after inhaling tear gasoline.
Eyewitnesses informed reporters that fierce clashes broke out on Friday afternoon between dozens of protesters and Israeli troopers within the villages of Beita and Beit Dajan, close to the northern West Financial institution metropolis of Nablus.
Clashes in Beita have been ongoing for nearly 4 months in protest in opposition to establishing a settlement outpost on lands owned by the villagers.
The protesters on Friday waved Palestinian flags, chanted slogans in opposition to the Israeli occupation and threw stones on the Israeli troopers who fired rubber bullets and tear gasoline canisters to disperse them.
In the meantime, medics mentioned that dozens of Palestinian protesters were injured by Israeli soldiers during clashes in Al-Mughayyir, a village east of Ramallah, in protest in opposition to Israel’s settlement growth, based on Marzouq Abu N’iem, the pinnacle of the village.
The village head informed reporters that the Israeli troopers fired tear gasoline at a peaceable demonstration rejecting the closure of the doorway to the village.
Palestinian safety sources mentioned that comparable protests and clashes broke out close to the cities of Qalqilya and Hebron within the West Financial institution, including that a number of Palestinians had been injured by rubber bullets and tear gasoline.
In a press assertion, the Palestinian Ministry of Overseas Affairs condemned: “The brutal Israeli military repression of peaceable protests and demonstrations to reject Israeli settlement within the West Financial institution.”
An announcement issued by the ministry introduced: “The Israeli military practices in opposition to the Palestinian protesters violate worldwide legislation,” including: “The silence of the worldwide neighborhood encourages Israel to hold on with these practices.”
