Turkey rescues 91 migrants pushed again by Greece – Center East Monitor

Turkish coast guards yesterday rescued 91 migrants who have been pushed again by Greece in direction of Turkey’s coastal metropolis of Canakkale.

Native sources advised Anadolu Company that the coastal groups noticed “a number of rubber boats carrying migrants off the coast of the Canakkale’s city of Ayvacik district.” The sources added that the migrants have been of “completely different nationalities.”

“After reaching the Turkish territory, the migrants have been referred to the native directorate of immigration,” the sources identified.

Ankara and human rights teams have repeatedly denounced Greece’s apply of pushbacks.
