Saudi Arabia slams Germany’s arms embargo – Center East Monitor

Saudi Arabia, yesterday, criticised Germany’s arms embargo, describing the act as a “very flawed sign.”

The Saudi International Minister, Faisal Bin Farhan, advised dpa that the Kingdom was “in want of weapons to defend itself towards Houthi assaults from neighbouring Yemen.”

“We don’t want weapons to be aggressive however, relatively, to have the ability to shield our nation and folks,” he mentioned, including that the Kingdom had been cooperating with Germany on armament “for a very long time”.

The Minister careworn that Saudi Arabia was “eager on persevering with our partnership with Germany,” warning that the Kingdom would “get what we’d like, whether or not from Germany or wherever else.”
