Iran warned on Monday that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will probably be accountable for destabilising the area because of the Israeli presence on its territory, Anadolu Company reported.
Overseas Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh instructed reporters that Israel seeks to realize legitimacy within the area by the UAE’s opening of its embassy in Israel.
“The United Arab Emirates should even be aware that it is going to be held accountable for the unrest and the results of presence of Jerusalem-occupying regime [Israel] on this area,” Khatibzadeh mentioned.
Final week, the UAE opened its embassy in Tel Aviv, a transfer that was preceded by opening an Israeli embassy and a consulate in Abu Dhabi and Dubai respectively.
In September 2020, the UAE and Israel signed a US-sponsored deal to normalize their relations. Since then, the 2 international locations have signed dozens of bilateral agreements in numerous fields, together with funding, banking providers, and tourism.
