Egyptian president meets Libyan home speaker, warlord Khalifa Haftar in Cairo – Center East Monitor

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Tuesday met with the speaker of the Tobruk-based Libyan Home of Representatives and putschist Libyan warlord Khalifa Haftar, Anadolu Company reported.

A press release by the Egyptian Presidency stated that al-Sisi obtained each Aguila Saleh and Haftar in Cairo within the presence of Abbas Kamel, Egypt’s intelligence chief.

The assertion gave no additional particulars.

In latest months, relations between the North African neighbors improved following Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly’s go to to the Libyan capital Tripoli on April 20, when Egypt expressed help for Libya’s new nationwide unity authorities.
