Jeddah police have arrested an Egyptian expat and referred him to the general public prosecution for harassing a girl in public.
Within the video given beneath, the person will be clearly seen touching the lady on her personal components which is a type of sexual harassment underneath the Anti-Harassment Regulation 2018.
The punishment underneath the Anti-Harassment Regulation 2018 can go as much as 2-years in Jail and an SR 100,000 positive in case of harassment with males or ladies.
In case of harassment with kids of disabled folks, the punishment can go as much as 5-years in Jail and SR 300,000 positive.
With the introduction of such stringent laws and their efficient implementation by the police, the circumstances of sexual harassment have diminished considerably in Saudi Arabia.
