Gaza reconstruction, halting Israel measures towards Palestinians key to peace  – Center East Monitor

The reconstruction of the occupied Gaza Strip and cessation of “all provocative and unlawful Israeli measures are inevitable to attain the two-state answer,” Jordanian International Minister, Ayman Safadi, mentioned yesterday.

“The Palestinian trigger was, and stays, our first precedence,” Safadi advised representatives on the 156th session of the Arab League Council.

He added that the growth in constructing the unlawful Israeli settlements, land confiscation and displacement of Palestinians from their properties have been “threatening the probabilities of reaching peace.”

“The area will stay captive to the battle till the Israeli occupation ends it, and the Palestinian individuals get hold of all their rights on the premise of the two-state answer, and in accordance with worldwide resolutions,” Safadi reiterated.

The Jordanian official known as for “respecting the historic and authorized scenario within the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque,” noting that violating its sanctities was “frightening a whole lot of thousands and thousands of Muslims and Christians all over the world.”

Safadi confused on the “must respect the rights of Jerusalemites in Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan of their properties,” including that displacing Palestinians wouldn’t be “accepted”.
