Israel military commanders warns settler assaults may set off new intifada – Center East Monitor

Senior Israeli military commanders warned yesterday that steady assaults by Jewish settlers on Palestinian property would set off a brand new intifada within the occupied West Financial institution, Quds Press reported.

In response to the information web site, Israel’s Walla information web site reported that Israeli commanders criticised Israeli cops resulting from their refusal to participate within the battle in opposition to settler crimes in opposition to Palestinians.

Walla identified that the Israeli settler assaults have continued, noting that they included riots, burning tyres, damaging crops, throwing stones, setting Palestinian property on hearth, amongst different assaults.

“Just one irregular settler crime is sufficient to ignite the escalation within the West Financial institution,” they warned.

There was a gradual rise in settler assaults on Palestinians, they added, noting that 352 assaults had been carried out in 2019, 353 assaults in 2020 and 377 assaults in 2021.

If injury to Palestinian crops had been to be added to the assaults in 2021, the quantity would rise to 563.
