Israel says it has ‘ideological’ dispute with Abbas – Center East Monitor

Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz on Sunday stated there’s a deep ideological dispute with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, reported Anadolu Company.

Talking at a counterterrorism convention within the coastal metropolis of Herzliya, Gantz stated regardless of having “a deep ideological dispute with the Palestinian Authority, each side are eager about peace and stability,” in keeping with Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.

Gantz defended his meeting with Abbas final week within the West Financial institution metropolis of Ramallah, saying the Palestinian chief backs a political settlement with Israel and opposes “terrorism”.

With out giving additional clarifications, Gantz added:
