UAE chargeable for regional instability over Israel ties – Center East Monitor

Iran warned on Monday that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can be chargeable for destabilising the area as a result of Israeli presence on its territory, Anadolu Company reported.

International Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh informed reporters that Israel seeks to realize legitimacy within the area via the UAE’s opening of its embassy in Israel.

“The United Arab Emirates should even be conscious that it is going to be held accountable for the unrest and the implications of presence of Jerusalem-occupying regime [Israel] on this area,” Khatibzadeh mentioned.

Final week, the UAE opened its embassy in Tel Aviv, a transfer that was preceded by opening an Israeli embassy and a consulate in Abu Dhabi and Dubai respectively.

In September 2020, the UAE and Israel signed a US-sponsored deal to normalize their relations. Since then, the 2 nations have signed dozens of bilateral agreements in varied fields, together with funding, banking providers, and tourism.
