The harvest season begins in Gaza – Center East Monitor

In response to the Ministry of Agriculture some 12,440 dunums (12.44 sq. kilometres) of land are prepared for harvest and can produce 14,000 tonnes of dates.

On common, people eat six kilogrammes of the dear crop a 12 months, the minister added.

As soon as harvested the fruits might be despatched to the occupied West Financial institution.

The success of the date palms comes at a time when Palestinians within the besieged Strip have suffered following 11-days of Israeli bombardment, the occupation forces’ continued use of herbicides and pesticides to kill their crops, and a scarcity of unpolluted water and petrol to work the mandatory machines.
