Saudi Fund for Improvement Opens College in Tajikistan

The Saudi Fund for Improvement (SFD), led by its CEO H.E. Sultan Al-Marshad, has formally inaugurated the Shahrinav College in Tajikistan.


This inauguration is a part of the fourth part of the “Establishing and Equipping of Secondary Faculties” undertaking in Tajikistan, for which the SFD contributed $35 million USD. The undertaking is about to profit 25,000 college students in Tajikistan.

The ceremony was attended by numerous dignitaries, together with H.E. Abdullzoda Ziyodullo, Deputy Minister of Schooling and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Akramzoda Mahmadyusuf, Consultant of the Authorities of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Waleed Alreshiadan, Saudi Ambassador to Tajikistan, Valizoda Abduqodir, Chairman of Shahrinav district, and Vohidzoda Umeda, Director of PIU, together with officers from each international locations.

This newly inaugurated faculty contains 36 lecture rooms and can serve 620 college students. It’s considered one of 34 faculties constructed within the fourth part of the undertaking. Past assembly instructional wants, this initiative aligns with UN Sustainable Improvement Targets (SDGs), significantly SDG 4 (High quality Schooling) and SDG 8 (First rate Work and Financial Development).

H.E. Abdullzoda Ziyodullo, Deputy Minister of Schooling and Science of Tajikistan, expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the SFD for his or her important help within the training sector. He emphasised the crucial function of training in Tajikistan’s improvement plans and socio-economic development.

H.E. Sultan Al-Marshad, CEO of the SFD, highlighted the fund’s dedication to training and its function in empowering college students. He emphasised that this faculty’s inauguration is a part of a broader instructional undertaking geared toward enhancing Tajikistan’s instructional panorama.

The inauguration of the Shahrinav College represents an ongoing effort by the SFD to help Tajikistan’s training sector. The SFD has financed 4 improvement tasks in training, developing and equipping 57 secondary faculties throughout 4 phases, with a complete funding of $75 million USD. In complete, the SFD has financed 12 improvement tasks in Tajikistan throughout numerous key sectors, amounting to over $193 million USD.
