Settlers occupy Palestinian residence in Jerusalem bought by mediator  – Center East Monitor

Jewish settlers yesterday took over a home within the Ras Al-Amud neighbourhood, east of Silwan, after its proprietor unknowing reportedly bought it to the Ateret Cohanim settler organisation by a mediator.

Native residents stated they had been stunned when extremist settlers entered the constructing owned by Ibrahim Awad by the principle door and seized it.

The sources indicated that this was the second constructing to be taken by settlers on this method, two and a half months after one other constructing owned by the Awad household was transferred to settlers.

The sources indicated that the constructing consists of two flooring and contains 5 residences and is positioned on a raised web site, reverse the southern aspect of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In line with the sources, the proprietor had beforehand obtained a demolition order on the pretext of constructing and not using a allow in accordance with the West Jerusalem municipality’s legislation which doesn’t apply to settlers.
